VENICE, ITALY : Locanda Ca’Valeri
While visiting Venice, we booked ourselves into Locanda Ca’Valeri, a quaint bed and breakfast just minutes from San Marco Square. It was slightly tricky to find, because the location was tucked away on a side street. However, the location was amazing. We were greeted by the owner and graciously led to our lovely room at the top of the small, winding staircase.
As we entered our room, I was immediately taken with the beautiful hardwood floors and Murano glass chandelier and lamps. Antique dressers accented the room. The tall ceilings with wooden beams added to the charm. The bathroom was recently remodeled, with new tile covering the floor and walls.
Breakfast was served to our room each morning, with a lovely assortment of breads, hot coffee or chocolate. The staff was very accommodating, anxious to assist with dining or entertainment suggestions, and even providing coupons. The hotel also included a one-way boat ride to Murano, to tour the island made famous for its glass.
I highly recommend Locanda Ca’Valeri for a stay in Venice.
